Grace is a 25 year old maker of things. She grew up in a small colonial town in north-central Massachusetts, where she was lucky enough to be raised by parents that encouraged and supported her creative urges. She completed a foundation year at Maine College of Art in Portland, ME before transferring to Lyme Academy College of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT to complete the remainder of her undergraduate studies. She graduated in May of 2017 with a BFA in Painting.
In the fall of 2017 Grace moved to Green River, UT to serve with AmeriCorps VISTA and drink in the boundless, unparalleled landscape of the American West. Her weeks are spent working at her project site where she manages the Green River Thrift Store and develops relations within the community, while most of her weekends are spent outside of town hiking, camping, and exploring. Her experiences in the desert of southeastern Utah have brought closure and clarity to past projects while generating new trains of thought, and she looks forward to the new bodies of work that will arise from these experiences.
